ART OVER ARMS
OUR IMPACT
Camera Kids Foundation equips historically marginalized youth ages 9–23 with creative and emotional tools to navigate the ecological systems shaping their lives—using filmmaking and broadcast journalism as pathways to leadership, healing, and advocacy. Based in Southwest King County, there are many ways to support our mission—from volunteering your time to making a donation. Together, we can create lasting change in our communities and beyond.

Upcoming Events
Our events provide opportunities for young people to showcase their work and connect with others who share their passion for filmmaking. Whether you're a student, educator, or film enthusiast, there's something for everyone at Camera Kids Foundation. Check out our upcoming events and get involved today!

Our Work
We serve youth who often fall through the cracks—those with IEPs, disciplinary histories, or limited access to creative outlets due to reduced school funding. Grounded in the Protective Factors Framework, our programs use social-emotional learning, asset-building, and mentorship to strengthen resilience and leadership. We create positive pathways for youth to thrive—bridging the gap between those ready to support and those ready to grow
At Camera Kids Foundation, we believe in the power of filmmaking to inspire leadership, creativity, and social change. With your support, we provide youth with access to industry tools, hands-on workshops, and mentorship that nurtures their voice and vision.
Together, we’re equipping the next generation of storytellers to promote nonviolence, civic engagement, and community transformation—one frame at a time.
Let’s ensure youth have the opportunity to choose Art over Arms.
